I recently worked with the STONE CEMENT SC307 vinyl wrap from Layed and I have to say it’s an excellent product. The finish has a very realistic cement/stone effect, giving surfaces a modern industrial look without the mess, cost, or permanence of using real materials.
The texture feels authentic to the touch and adds real depth, making it ideal for worktops, tables, feature walls, and even doors. It installs smoothly, with great flexibility and adhesion, which makes wrapping detailed edges and corners much easier. This was a first time using vinyl and initially sceptical about the product but I have to say the textured anthracite vinyl that I have used by far exceeded my expectations, the service and communication with Layed when I had a query was excellent and I will definitely use their vinyls again.
My advise to anyone thinking of trying this would be to perhaps buy a little extra and practice, don't rush and give attention to small details
Great colour and texture quality finish but sadly the edges keep catching and the wrap lifts which makes it less practical. Any suggestions welcome ??
This product is good, but not great or outstanding. I installed it in my kitchen as a temporary fix for ugly stone countertops. There are several issues.
1) The vinyl doesn't truly stick to the underside of the countertops.
2) The vinyl isn't super pliable - even with using a heat gun to get around rounded edges.
3) Working around the sink is impossible.
4) You have to lay it correctly the first time. Room for error is super small.
With all this being said, I really need a pro installer to install this, because doing it myself yielded wide results. I first installed it on my countertops by a wall and stove. There were errors and problems, but once appliances and normal decorations were placed on the counter, I think it looks great. Almost amazing. (Picture attached).
I then went to install it on my bar/island. The rounded corners ended up wrinkled. The inside areas around the sink won't stick and I think will eventually rip. Once I got to the sink faucet, I had to cut the vinyl in half and the second half became unusable. It's SO UGLY. I actually hate it.
I'm probably going to rip it all out and just buy actual countertops because of how bad the bar looks. I wish it were better. Parts are, but it's not good enough.
So, by looks, I give one section 5/5 and one section 1/5. Avg. Score 3/5.

The quality of vinyl is excellent, very pleasant on touch! Looks a lot better than painted. It was easily applied by a newbe in wrapping. And result is perfect and quick. I'll buy more to wrap room doors in the same color. Thank you seller!!

I've tried a fair few marble sticky foils over the last year, creating some backdrops for my food photography and was always frustrated as they were throwing bubbles and got scratches even with very light use. Or were too narrow, so I'd have lines wheer they didn't belong.
This vinyl wrap changed it all!
I absolutely love how thick it is, but what really amazed me was the super easy application. No bubbles at all and when it threatened to throw a fold, I could very easily lift it a bit and put it down straight again.
It also seems very resistant and is really easy to clean.
And something maybe mostly photographers will appreciate: It's matte!

The vinyl colour was exactly how we viewed it on the website.
It was easy to stick down and, because the backing paper had printed lines on it, it made it easier cut around the units and sink.
Good quality too.
Easy to use and very sticky so be careful when laying down and please you the right tools

Layerd weee great to work with realised I had 2 seperate orders for same vinyl and had paid 2 lots of shipping. Quickly got on to me to ask if they could put the 2 orders together and refund o e lot of shipping. Great customer service and the vinyl finish created a very happy customer.
I used this for covering some MDF in my factory to protect it from moisture and easy cleanup. Easy to apply, looks great.
Our kitchen now looks amazing. I felt the product was easy enough to work with. In one area it ripped a bit but that was on a bend so I understood it may of been easier with a heat gun to prevent that. But over all it was easy enough- and looks incredible. Looking forward to seeing how it lasts and how long I can get out of it. The delivery was pretty quick and easy also. Thank you!

Fitted the vinyl 2 nights ago and it is brilliant. The product is great quality, stuck down with ease and no chance of any air bubbles. I just need to seal it now for a perfect finish. You would could never tell it’s vinyl stuck on an original worktop, it looks like it a brand new worktop, I am a very picky person and could not be happier. Love also the colour and texture. Definitely recommend this product and will buy more in the future.
